Creation pouch: Anthurium crystallinum, S. dissimile, and Macleania penapatara
F1 Anthurium crystallinum ex-Antioquia- actual offset of the huge seed grown pure crystallinum I grow here. These F1s were bred from two Colombian parents from Jay Vannini’s personal collection. When grown well these are dead ringers for the original illustration used to describe the species.
Sphyrospermum dissimile- from the blueberry family. Native to the Neotropics (Costa Rica down into Peru). Grows real high up in trees, can live on the tiniest of spots and produce huge plants. Tiny translucent salmon colored bell shaped flowers.
Macleania penapatara- montane rainforests of Ecuador. Very rare in cultivation. 1-4ft tall. Relative of blueberries. Edible fruits. Intense orange and green corollas (floral structure). Caudex type base.
A pouch full of props from plants (at least 2 of them anyways) you’d normally have to go to a botanical garden to see. Bring some Neotropical plant love to your collection with this Creation Pouch.
All extremely well rooted and using or have pushed new growth since being propped.
All props are taken from plants I grow here in my collection indoors in NC and kept in my AC Infinity Creation Pods until they root up. (use code ARTHURIUM for a discount if you want one for your own plant rehabs and props).
Pricing breakdown:
1- A. crystallinum offset: $120 (JV charges $275 for these and this is the only offset I’ve gotten after 18 months).
1- S. dissimile prop: $60
1- M. penapatara: $70
Care:
These all 3 will thrive under the Warm growing conditions outlined here.
These three will get large in time, ensure you have space. Should be happy in this pouch together until September 2024 at which point you can up them to a bigger communal vessel, basket, device for holding them.. or separate and grow three beautiful plants that you can one day share.
