Anthurium PanaMama 2.0 by JV is a cross of Anthurium papillilaminum ‘Ft Sherman’ and Anthurium dressleri Rio Guanche ecotype. The word ecotype was first coined by Swedish botanist Gote Turesson in 1922 and used to describe intraspecies variation based on geography. The premise is that groups of plants growing in a specific location, in this case the riparian area of Panama in which the OG dressleri Jay breeds with was collected, will be distinct from groups of plants within the same species in a different locale. These 2.0s are all turning out to be phenomenal and the exceptional RG ecotype dressleri deserves some of the credit.
